Epson Aerial Photographer of the Year
Each year, this award is presented to a PAPA member who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to aerial photography, based on the following criteria:
- Continuous excellence in aerial photography
- Significant contribution to aerial photography
- In the public eye via books, exhibits, lectures, publications or visual presentations in other forms
- Made a single outstanding achievement
- Long term service to the association or its members
- Minimum of 3 years PAPA membership
The award, a commemorative piece in etched crystal, is presented at the PAPA International Annual Convention. The first award was bestowed in 2006.
2008 Aerial Photographer of the Year: Lee Ross
The Epson Aerial Photographer of the Year for 2008 honors Lee Ross, of Rosspilot in New York.

2007 Aerial Photographer of the Year: Herb Lingl
The Epson Aerial Photographer of the Year for 2007 honors the work of Herb Lingl, of Aerial Archives in San Francisco.
Herb Lingl is presented with the Epson Aerial Photographer of the Year 2007 by John Mossman of Logix, Inc.

2006 Aerial Photographer of the Year: Jim Wark
